For centuries, sketchbooks have been an outlet for artists to develop new ideas, and document lived experiences. This three-week workshop is designed to help teens explore sketchbooks as tools for artistic growth and self-discovery.
Students will explore media, annotation, composition, and critical commentary as well as practical studies in page layout, colour study, and mind-mapping while taking inspiration from other artist’s sketchbooks across space and time. This course is an excellent way for budding artists to cultivate their unique artistic voices.
About the Instructor: Heather Kuzyk is a versatile and engaging artist with over 20 years of experience teaching both the young and young at heart.
