Wheel Throwing for Beginners – THURSDAY

In this introductory course, students will learn how to prepare clay for throwing, as well as proper posture at the potter’s wheel. Demonstrations held each class will cover the different steps of centering clay on a wheel, throwing cylinders, bowls and plates, and finishing pots with various slips, stains, and glazes
COVID-19 HEALTH AND SAFETY: Our studio courses are running at reduced capacity to allow for physical distancing and safe navigation of our pottery studio. All students must wear a face mask at all times and adhere to physical distancing guidelines while in our studio. Please review the AGB’s COVID-19 safety guidelines on our website before attending your first class. These guidelines, as well as our anti-harrassment policy, will be reviewed by your instructor in the first class.
ART SUPPLIES: Adult students must supply their own materials based on course outline or purchased from the instructor if indicated.
ATTIRE: Please dress in clothing that reflects the nature of the activity. Your clothing may get messy from the materials and media utilized in your class. Also, closed-toe shoes are mandatory.
