As an arts writer, Lois wrote art reviews and interviews with artists on a regular basis for local publications for over 20 years. Upon discovering a senior Newfoundland artist recently moved to Burlington Lois Crawford co-ordinated an exhibition of her work at The AGB and wrote the catalogue essay: Millicent Penney. In 2016 Lois researched and wrote the history of the BFAA for both their 50th anniversary exhibition catalogue and for the BFAA 30th anniversary catalogue.
